Who is The Table Guest?
My name is Afi and I am the author behind the content.
I am an undergrad student at the University of Maryland and have resided in the state for a majority of my life. Contrary to any preconceived notions you may have developed, I am not a journalism student, I do not intend to go in to any writing fields, and I have only been out of the country twice.
However, I do major in Psychology, minor in French and aim to become an Art Therapist. I have a thing for apple juice and Brookside Clusters, love foreign and domestic film, and want to eradicate bananas from the face of earth. Most importantly, I ‘ve always dreamed of being a wanderlust, but never had the means or timing to fulfill that dream.
So why a travel blog…?
During the Spring 2017 semester, I will be travelling abroad with Semester at Sea. This program gives me the chance to travel to 11 different countries over the course of four months while completing studies on a renovated cruise ship.
Therefore, during the months of January through April, this blog will serve as both a diary and documentation of my travels by sea. I hope you enjoy what I have to share and follow along as I navigate the world. At the same time, join me as I become a guest at many different tables while also trying to figure out how to run a blog.
What happens after all this, I’m not sure
